Gualterio Pio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gonzalo Asteri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonzalo Asteri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Pio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filiberto Nisio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Freddy Tino made a huge save. Jorge Quintun hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Delmar Unai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trinchera AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmiento de junin the free kick. 20 minutes into the game, one of Trinchera AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Virgilio Belarmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Virgilio Belarmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Belarmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Asteri having to interfere. Gonzalo Asteri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Pio in the 36th minute of the match. If Virgilio Belarmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Gualterio Pio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gonzalo Asteri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 45 played minutes Aristides Nisio rounded Trinchera AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aristides Nisio to strike the kick off in the second half. Freddy Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Nisio, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Aristides Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Fabio Piarres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Trinchera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Nisio came free, but Freddy Tino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes Trinchera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Otsoko. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Jorge Quintun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trinchera AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Quintun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzalo Asteri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute Filiberto Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de junin's Gaudencio Jusepe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddy Tino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Sarmiento de junin's Gonzalo Asteri got control of the ball when Virgilio Belarmo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Filiberto Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento de junin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Nisio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sarmiento de junin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Trinchera AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
