Astor Elija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Dodorol having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Luisito Larra lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Rene Ioritz. The referee ignored Pozuelos's protests and gave Clodoveo Vasco a yellow card for diving instead. Wilfredo Diegotxe charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfredo Diegotxe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pozuelos booed when Barcala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Diegotxe didn't get a good kick on the ball.
