When Cayetano Laffitte came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Pilar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cayetano Laffitte couldn't finish the play. After 27 minutes of play, Pilar FC's Cayetano Laffitte made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lorenzo Balasi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celso Bembe's late challenge caught a Pilar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Bembe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Chucuma AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Celso Bembe hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Anacleto Eleazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Lorenzo Balasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Bernardo Bartoleme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Pablo Iyan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimeno Lluis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Domingos Kauldi struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jimeno Lluis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chucuma AFC. Domingos Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pilar FC's Jimeno Lluis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Kauldi in the 78th minute of play. Pablo Iyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Lluis having to interfere. If Cayetano Laffitte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cayetano Laffitte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anacleto Eleazar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Pilar FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Pilar FC's Anacleto Eleazar got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pilar FC's Jimeno Lluis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Kauldi in the 96th minute of play.
