In the 20th minute of the match Silvano Jacindo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnaldo Eneko skillfully saved the ball. Bernardo Escobar struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Arnaldo Eneko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Idolatras. After a defensive mix-up in Capayán AFC's zone, Ciriaco Chuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Eneko came out of the goal and Ciriaco Chuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Constantino Txurio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capayán AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dionisio Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Federico Endura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capayán AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Idolatras the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantino Txurio in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Isusko saved Idolatras from getting behind. Rafael Isusko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camilo Artal went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Constantino Txurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Isusko having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

57 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Capayán AFC's Camilo Artal fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Constantino Txurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Isusko having to interfere. The Capayán AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaldo Eneko should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Capayán AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Chuan came free, but Arnaldo Eneko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Artal in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
