The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gnecco's goalkeeper Emilio Tano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilberto Udalaitz hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Cordara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Tximitx, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Rafael Jerrold kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Fernan Quin charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernan Quin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Batán fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Gnecco. Nicolas Domenec stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Reynaldo Cordara. 1-0. Nicolas Domenec hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Iker Vellito lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Batán a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Baldomero Calvet, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gnecco's Emilio Tano. 1-1. Paolo Orlondon struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Reynaldo Cordara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gnecco. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paolo Orlondon to strike the kick off in the second half. Astor Ibon hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Paolo Orlondon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teodoro Milio might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Cordara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Milio ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Orlondon in the 66th minute of play forced Batán's goalkeeper Reynaldo Cordara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Orlondon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th match minute, Gnecco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Milio to maneuver through the defense. If Jaime Chale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Sayveon struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Emilio Tano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batán. In the 88th match minute, Gnecco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Medero to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Jaime Chale recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilio Tano. Jaime Chale showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2.
