In the 3rd minute, Virgilio Indalecio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Santo Gagriel got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Guajal AFC. If Jaime Chale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Lisandro Nikola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guajal AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Nikola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Cordara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Guajal AFC's zone, Jaime Chale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Jaunti came out of the goal and Jaime Chale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lisandro Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Santo Gagriel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Chale to make the kick off. Narciso Sayveon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Gagriel in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reynaldo Cordara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Batán's Reynaldo Cordara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Gagriel in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Lisandro Nikola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Cordara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Reynaldo Cordara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Nikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Reynaldo Cordara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Ticho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Batán's Reynaldo Cordara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Nikola in the 81st minute of play. Reynaldo Cordara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Nikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Santo Gagriel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lisandro Nikola came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Guajal AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Nikola couldn't finish the play. Guajal AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
