In the 2nd match minute, Tigre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Cordarin to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Tavio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Eusebio Feliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Tavio having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Feliz came free, but Cristobal Tavio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Celedonio Cesario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Feliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cristobal Tavio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celedonio Cesario might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristobal Tavio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celedonio Cesario ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Eusebio Feliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Tavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tigre getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Augusto Abel hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celedonio Cesario to make the kick off. Cristobal Tavio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Feliz in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Tigre's goalkeeper Cristobal Tavio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusebio Feliz. Vergara's Celedonio Cesario got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celedonio Cesario in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristobal Tavio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Bingen in the 73rd minute of play forced Vergara's goalkeeper Albino Saturnin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Bingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Saturnin having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Bingen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Saturnin was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Eusebio Feliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Celedonio Cesario reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristobal Tavio. The goal made the score 0-3. Vergara's Albino Saturnin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Bingen in the 94th minute of play. Vergara's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
