Victor Ruisko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Gergori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Mikeldi having to make a save. Hipolito Cutberto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Mikeldi having to make a save. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for AlKoNeS. Cipriano Bidun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Clemente Mikeldi. 0-2. Alejandro Paio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Casado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Ramiro Gergori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Clemente Mikeldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AlKoNeS's zone, Victor Ruisko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Casado came out of the goal and Victor Ruisko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Artemio Charro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Ramiro Gergori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Mikeldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to C. A. Defensores Unidos getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Artemio Charro hit a great ball. Clemente Mikeldi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Gergori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Ruisko made a kick off. When Victor Ruisko came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the C. A. Defensores Unidos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Ruisko couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, AlKoNeS's Arnulfo Nalo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clemente Mikeldi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Arnulfo Nalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Casado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Ruisko in the 64th minute of the match. Arnulfo Nalo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Arnulfo Nalo came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the AlKoNeS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Nalo couldn't finish the play. In the 75th play minute Ramiro Gergori came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Clemente Mikeldi. 0-4. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Defensores Unidos's goalkeeper Clemente Mikeldi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramiro Gergori could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Clemente Mikeldi made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, C. A. Defensores Unidos's goalkeeper Clemente Mikeldi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramiro Gergori. Ramiro Gergori might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Mikeldi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Gergori ran back to his position shaking his head. The AlKoNeS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AlKoNeS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
