Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristian Carlomagno got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Cristian Carlomagno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Fernendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Cristian Carlomagno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Mentira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Gallinero FC the free kick. In the 7th match minute, La Mentira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Carlomagno to maneuver through the defense. When Nicanor Rojelio fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Mentira's protests and gave Nicanor Rojelio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Nicanor Rojelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anier Abarca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Octavio Guilabertus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elpidio Eguerdi hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. El Gallinero FC's Matias Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Hitz in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Benito Jakobe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Gallinero FC and the La Mentira players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of La Mentira booed when El Gallinero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Jakobe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Leonides Hitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 24 minutes of play, La Mentira's Leonides Hitz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matias Fernendo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eloy Venerando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Ebardo charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavio Ebardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to La Mentira getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Flavio Ebardo hit a great ball. After 31 played minutes El Gallinero FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Peio. Cristian Carlomagno might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matias Fernendo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Carlomagno ran back to his position shaking his head. 34 minutes into the game, Efrain Tebaldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Mentira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Gallinero FC the free kick. Efrain Tebaldo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Anier Abarca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Octavio Guilabertus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anier Abarca in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Octavio Guilabertus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes La Mentira got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Rik. 54 minutes into the match, La Mentira's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Abarca came free, but Octavio Guilabertus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, El Gallinero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Jakobe to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Hitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Matias Fernendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Venerando struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Octavio Guilabertus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Gallinero FC. With his leg Matias Fernendo managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when La Mentira's Leonides Hitz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Cristian Carlomagno was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. In the 76th match minute, La Mentira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Carlomagno to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in El Gallinero FC's zone, Leonides Hitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Fernendo came out of the goal and Leonides Hitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 minutes, Elpidio Eguerdi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Mentira and the El Gallinero FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, La Mentira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Eguerdi to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Hitz struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Matias Fernendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Mentira. After a rather tough play, La Mentira's Flavio Ebardo got a free kick in the 87th minute. Eloy Venerando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The La Mentira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Mentira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
