The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Aristides Llorienzo fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guajal FC's protests and gave Aristides Llorienzo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Aristides Llorienzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ildefonso Beti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ildefonso Beti sped through Guajal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Damian Mikolas. During the 30th minute of the match Aristides Llorienzo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aristides Llorienzo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 30th match minute, Guajal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Llorienzo to maneuver through the defense. Faustino Abarca kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Damian Mikolas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Canor in the 37th minute of the match. Ildefonso Beti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Mikolas having to interfere. In the 41st minute Leonardo Canor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Mikolas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ildefonso Beti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ildefonso Beti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiro Caradaro was the one to do the kick off. Ramiro Caradaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 57th minute of the match Ramiro Caradaro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ramiro Caradaro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Guajal FC's Ramiro Caradaro got a free kick in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Lucas FC's Urbano Escobar got a free kick in the 59th minute. Damian Mikolas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Beti, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes of play Guajal FC's Faustino Abarca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 72nd minute, Leonardo Canor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Mikolas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 77 minutes into the match, Guajal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Beti came free, but Damian Mikolas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Leonardo Canor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Canor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ildefonso Beti in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Mikolas saved Guajal FC from getting behind. Damian Mikolas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Beti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Alejo Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Sustrai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Sustrai came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Guajal FC's Alejo Segio. But to his dismay, Alejo Segio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Lucas FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
