Narciso Fidencio started the match with the kick off. Bruno Hori's late challenge caught a Vencedores-Vencidos...'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Hori helped the player get up and apologised. Bruno Hori hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute of the match Nestor Oskitz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard Porfirio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dario Escobar struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Paolo Otsoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merced AFC. The supporters of Merced AFC booed when Vencedores-Vencidos... was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Oskitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Fidencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Otsoa having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Vencedores-Vencidos...'s goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Fidencio came free, but Paolo Otsoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Porfirio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Escobars short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Paolo Otsoa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Paolo Otsoa made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Dario Escobar sent off a good shot on target. When Ariel Eron came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Vencedores-Vencidos... fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Eron couldn't finish the play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Herminio Rey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merced AFC's Edgard Porfirio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ariel Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgard Porfirio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Rey in the 41st minute of the match. The wind increased when Herminio Rey made the kick off in the second half. Paolo Otsoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With his leg Edgard Porfirio managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Vencedores-Vencidos...'s Ariel Eron fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 63 minutes into the match, Merced AFC's Narciso Fidencio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paolo Otsoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ariel Eron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Porfirio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Merced AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Eudoxio to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Rey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Edgard Porfirio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Eron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Porfirio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Merced AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Anibal Eudoxio hit a great ball. Vencedores-Vencidos...'s Paolo Otsoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Escobar in the 77th minute of play. If Narciso Fidencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Merced AFC booed when Vencedores-Vencidos... was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Karlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Narciso Fidencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariel Eron got free with Edgard Porfirio in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Vencedores-Vencidos...'s zone, Dario Escobar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paolo Otsoa came out of the goal and Dario Escobar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Anibal Eudoxio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merced AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vencedores-Vencidos... the free kick. Merced AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
