Sixto Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Rafel in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute David Peruxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Paz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ferreyra defense, David Peruxu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sixto Paz. The Ferreyra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sixto Paz should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Peruxu in the 14th minute of play forced Ferreyra's goalkeeper Sixto Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sixto Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Rafel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anastasio Rafel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sixto Paz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Peruxu in the 18th minute of play. David Peruxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Paz having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Leandro Gotzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Peruxu might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sixto Paz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Peruxu ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Peruxu made a kick off. Sixto Paz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Peruxu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 57 minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Pedernal AFC's Anastasio Rafel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sixto Paz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 65th match minute, Ferreyra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Umea to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes Pedernal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Beturian. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Braulio Umea during the 69th minute. In the 93rd minute, David Peruxu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sixto Paz. The goal made the score 0-5. Pedernal AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
