Deportivo Faso's supporters rose to their feet, but Laureano Ganix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Osoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horacio Iaki in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteban Poz saved Deportivo Faso from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Candido Herauso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, INTER FC's Vicente Charro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 17 minutes into the match, Deportivo Faso's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Iaki came free, but Esteban Poz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Poz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Anaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Faso's Candido Herauso got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 22ndth minute of the game Horacio Iaki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Faso's Esteban Poz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esteban Poz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Anaya in the 23rd minute of play. Laureano Ganix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Osoitz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Anaya in the 27th minute of play forced Deportivo Faso's goalkeeper Esteban Poz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When INTER FC's Victoriano Anaya in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Faso's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Anaya in the 41st minute of play forced Deportivo Faso's goalkeeper Esteban Poz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horacio Iaki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esteban Poz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46thth minute of the game Horacio Iaki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Faso's Esteban Poz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, INTER FC's Horacio Iaki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteban Poz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramiro Intxixu to make the kick off. Victoriano Anaya came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Esteban Poz could save by the left post. In the 61st minute Horacio Iaki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Poz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Horacio Iaki came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the INTER FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Iaki couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the game, Victoriano Anaya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Esteban Poz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deportivo Faso's Esteban Poz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Faso from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horacio Iaki in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteban Poz saved Deportivo Faso from getting behind. Deportivo Faso's Ramiro Intxixu got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonides Arano hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horacio Iaki during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
