In the 8th minute Fausto Gelacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Loreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Azul y Oro's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Chus came free, but Anselmo Loreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Cornelio Ariando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azul y Oro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave el deseado Football Club the free kick. In the 10th minute, Cornelio Ariando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Loreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Castulo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Azul y Oro's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernan Bernad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Hegoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Anselmo Loreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Gelacio in the 76th minute of the match. After 82 minutes of play Azul y Oro's Cornelio Ariando was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of el deseado Football Club booed when Azul y Oro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Ariando didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind el deseado Football Club's goalkeeper Aurelio Hegoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sebastian Iliana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurelio Hegoi having to make a save.
