After a defensive mix-up in El número imperfecto's zone, Jairo Lehoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clodoveo Matxin came out of the goal and Jairo Lehoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ceibalito AFC's Anibal Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ceibalito AFC from getting a goal against them. When Elias Uhin came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the El número imperfecto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Uhin couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Lehoi in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clodoveo Matxin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Azibar in the 27th minute of play forced Ceibalito AFC's goalkeeper Anibal Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceibalito AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Elias Uhin 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a rather tough play, El número imperfecto's Matias Ralondo got a free kick in the 47th minute. Celestino Mosen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Clodoveo Matxin. El número imperfecto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roque Basajaun made a kick off. Salvador Ciano's late challenge caught a Ceibalito AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Ciano helped the player get up and apologised. Clodoveo Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Jairo Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Elias Uhin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El número imperfecto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Uhin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clodoveo Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Clodoveo Matxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Basajaun in the 93rd minute of the match. When Timoteo Oxarra fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceibalito AFC's protests and gave Timoteo Oxarra a yellow card for diving instead. Simon Cordeal struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Anibal Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El número imperfecto. Gaudencio Carlomagno hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Elias Uhin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Marquez having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El número imperfecto fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ceibalito AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
