Constantino Tiso charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantino Tiso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 17 minutes into the game, Pascual Papo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. COBRITA TEAM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Maverick the free kick. A collision led to COBRITA TEAM getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Pascual Papo hit a great ball. Denis Ostots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Esteban Mingo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Maverick's Everardo Sagrario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Ostots in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Deportivo Maverick getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gavino Kemen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Ostots in the 29th minute of play forced Deportivo Maverick's goalkeeper Everardo Sagrario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Denis Ostots got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 48thth minute of the game Esteban Mingo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Maverick's Everardo Sagrario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, COBRITA TEAM's Conrado Jordy got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of COBRITA TEAM booed when Deportivo Maverick was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Sagrario having to interfere. Gualterio Barrionuevo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Esteban Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. COBRITA TEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Mingo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saul Leizarraga's late challenge caught a Deportivo Maverick's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Leizarraga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, one of COBRITA TEAM:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for COBRITA TEAM. Edgardo Bibiano went to the wrong direction when Sergio Benvido was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Esteban Mingo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteban Mingo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Everardo Sagrario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COBRITA TEAM. Edgardo Bibiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Milian, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Esteban Mingo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Sagrario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Mingo in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind COBRITA TEAM's goalkeeper Edgardo Bibiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th match minute, COBRITA TEAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Eyague to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Deportivo Maverick were victorious despite being under pressure from COBRITA TEAM for much of the match.
