Alvaro Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelio Artizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Laffitte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Denis Valiente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nemesio Goi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Artizar having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Cornelio Laffitte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sanagasta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 36 played minutes Azucena FC got a freekick which was hit by Iker Tibalt. Alvaro Teofilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Angelo Gorri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorio Tirso scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Gorri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Azucena FC booed when Sanagasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Ferdinand didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorio Tirso to make the kick off. The supporters of Sanagasta booed when Azucena FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azucena FC's Aurelio Artizar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Azucena FC from getting a goal against them. Denis Valiente charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Valiente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Azucena FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Denis Valiente hit a great ball. If Cornelio Laffitte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Cornelio Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Artizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sanagasta's Cornelio Laffitte was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Saverio Jokin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azucena FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sanagasta the free kick. After 89 played minutes Azucena FC got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Jokin. Angelo Gorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Teofilio in the 92nd minute of play. The Azucena FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sanagasta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
