In the 10th minute, Edelmiro Matthew got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Gaztea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nereo Gabino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. When Domingos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Candelaria AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Santos couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Domingos Santos notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Percas's Francisco Gaztea. Francisco Gaztea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Percas's Ermegildo Montae got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 played minutes Domingos Santos rounded Percas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Francisco Gaztea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingos Santos's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 35th match minute, Percas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Matthew to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Candelaria AFC were awarded a corner. Ladislao Clementi went to the cornerflag to take it. Domingos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Gaztea having to interfere.

The wind increased when Edelmiro Matthew made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Edelmiro Matthew managed to get in a good position for a shot. Percas's supporters rose to their feet, but Edelmiro Matthew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Pero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnulfo Walme might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Gaztea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnulfo Walme ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Domingos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Gaztea was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Tomas Botello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Gaztea having to interfere. If Domingos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Percas's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Semeno came free, but Francisco Gaztea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Gaztea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Walme in the 83rd minute of the match. Domingos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Gaztea having to interfere. Domingos Santos struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Francisco Gaztea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelaria AFC. There was no doubt that Candelaria AFC were the better team. Candelaria AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
