The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guaymallén's goalkeeper Carmelo Edur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Sergio Urtsin managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Guaymallén's Elpidio Miro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sergio Urtsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Banegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Nicanor Mattin's late challenge caught a Guaymallén's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Mattin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Nicanor Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaymallén's Elpidio Miro got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimiro Tirso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Mariano Fernanco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sergio Urtsin was a little too slow when Serafino Banegas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. Sergio Urtsin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Miro in the 30th minute. Elpidio Miro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Urtsin having to interfere. Vladimiro Tirso's late challenge caught a Guaymallén's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimiro Tirso helped the player get up and apologised. Vladimiro Tirso hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Travesía AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Banegas came free, but Sergio Urtsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafino Banegas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sergio Urtsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Miro in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Serafino Banegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaymallén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafino Banegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serafino Banegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute, Elpidio Miro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Serafino Banegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafino Banegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes of play, Guaymallén's Gustavo Laurentzi made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergio Urtsin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st match minute, Guaymallén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Eyague to maneuver through the defense. Sergio Urtsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Banegas in the 85th minute of the match. Elpidio Miro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sergio Urtsin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Serafino Banegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Guaymallén players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
