An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Medina in the 6th minute of play forced Velez 94's goalkeeper Eloy Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RACING CLUB's Silvestre Jurdan got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 12 minutes of play, RACING CLUB's Silvestre Jurdan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eloy Franco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvestre Jurdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Franco having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Silvestre Jurdan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Eloy Franco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Velez 94's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvestre Jurdan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.
