The supporters of Deportivo Tu Vieja booed when small union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Cheche didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Baldomiro Emeterio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but small union's Alonzo Urti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baldomiro Emeterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alonzo Urti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldomiro Emeterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Urti having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Tu Vieja's Aaron Batista got a free kick in the 15th minute. Patricio Tallia might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denis Abella. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Tallia ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomiro Emeterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Urti having to interfere. Alonzo Urti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Checa in the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Patricio Tallia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. small union's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Tallia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patricio Tallia to strike the kick off in the second half. When Patricio Tallia came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the small union fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Tallia couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Tu Vieja's Denis Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Cheche in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in small union's zone, Ovidio Checa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Urti came out of the goal and Ovidio Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ovidio Checa in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alonzo Urti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denis Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Tallia in the 72nd minute of play. Deportivo Tu Vieja's Denis Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Tallia in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Emeterio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of small union's Alonzo Urti. Alonzo Urti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Denis Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Cheche in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Deportivo Tu Vieja's Ovidio Checa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alonzo Urti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Alonzo Urti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Checa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Tallia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Abella having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Deportivo Tu Vieja eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
