Marcial Cheche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Tallia in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Elodio saved Deportivo Esecuter from getting behind. Zeledon Elodio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Roano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. small union's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Evaristo Hermelando scored to the left of an out of position Alonzo Urti, making the score, 2-0. Hernan Sustrais short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Alonzo Urti to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Tallia to make the kick off. Alonzo Urti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Danel in the 57th minute of play. If Marcial Cheche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zeledon Elodio was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Patricio Tallia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patricio Tallia really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 73 minutes into the game, Benito Beltza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. small union's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Esecuter the free kick. After 73 played minutes small union got a freekick which was hit by Benito Beltza. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Tallia during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, small union's Patricio Tallia got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Marcial Cheche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Elodio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Tallia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 86 minute of play. Deportivo Esecuter's Zeledon Elodio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Tallia in the 91st minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
