Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evelio Ignatius started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Saguara FC's Cleto Petri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Tabor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cleto Petris short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Jacobo Tabor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vinicio Abecia made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Salvador Pacho immediately put the ball in play. If Cleto Petri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute Emiliano Ruisko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Tabor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleto Petri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jacobo Tabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Cleto Petri made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Tabor. Athletic Club Cordoba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 22 minutes of play, Athletic Club Cordoba's Salvador Pacho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilfredo Amaya was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute of the match, Cleto Petri got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jacobo Tabor was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cleto Petri in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Tabor saved Athletic Club Cordoba from getting behind. The supporters of Saguara FC booed when Athletic Club Cordoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Javier Che had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Athletic Club Cordoba's zone, Cleto Petri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Tabor came out of the goal and Cleto Petri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Jacobo Tabor managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Saguara FC's Emiliano Ruisko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Cleto Petri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Athletic Club Cordoba got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Veronica. Hermengildo Pancho, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleto Petri was the one to do the kick off. Javier Che struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jacobo Tabor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saguara FC. After a defensive mix-up in Athletic Club Cordoba's zone, Cleto Petri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Tabor came out of the goal and Cleto Petri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emiliano Ruisko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Tabor having to interfere. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Cleto Petri sped through Athletic Club Cordoba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Tabor. Javier Che fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Tabor having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cleto Petri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Tabor was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After having played for 82 minutes, Javier Che managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saguara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Che was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Javier Che recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermengildo Pancho struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jacobo Tabor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saguara FC. When Saguara FC's Cleto Petri in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Athletic Club Cordoba's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Athletic Club Cordoba's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Pancho came free, but Jacobo Tabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Athletic Club Cordoba's goalkeeper Jacobo Tabor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Saguara FC had played much better football throughout.
