The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gavino Santikurtz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Gabrio, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Francisco Soter kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, SentimientoPesquero's Paulo Fonso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Benicio Eliu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ernesto Poncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Mirande in the 15th minute of play. Orlando Sesuldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gavino Santikurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SentimientoPesquero's Florentino Gabrio got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When AC Sumo's Florencio Mirande in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SentimientoPesquero's goalie prevented a goal. Florencio Mirande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Poncio having to interfere. Raimundo Estevez hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes, Florencio Mirande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Sumo and the SentimientoPesquero players grew even worse after the yellow card. Florencio Mirande kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AC Sumo's Juan Bordat got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Paulo Fonso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AC Sumo's Gavino Santikurtz didn't even have to move. Gavino Santikurtz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Gabrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Sesuldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gavino Santikurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, AC Sumo's Florencio Mirande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto Poncio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernesto Poncio made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Nunez Cordarryl sent off a good shot on target. When Zeledon Froila fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SentimientoPesquero's protests and gave Zeledon Froila a yellow card for diving instead. It was beautiful to see AC Sumo's Efrain Furman in action when he in the 47th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florencio Mirande made a kick off. After 52 played minutes AC Sumo got a freekick which was hit by Juan Bordat. In the 60thth minute of the game Florentino Gabrio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Sumo's Gavino Santikurtz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernesto Poncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Mirande in the 64th minute of play. Ernesto Frans hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes, SentimientoPesquero's Paulo Fonso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gavino Santikurtz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SentimientoPesquero reached it. Orlando Sesuldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Gavino Santikurtz made a huge save. AC Sumo's Gavino Santikurtz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save AC Sumo from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Florentino Gabrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. SentimientoPesquero's supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Gabrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Santikurtz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florencio Mirande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ernesto Poncio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Santikurtz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Gabrio in the 80th minute of play. Francisco Soter kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Florentino Gabrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Santikurtz having to interfere. With a little luck, AC Sumo's Gavino Santikurtz got control of the ball when Orlando Sesuldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute, Francisco Soter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Sesuldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When AC Sumo's Nunez Cordarryl in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SentimientoPesquero's goalie prevented a goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
