Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Benjamin Quinito started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Sey AFC's Aquilino Bernebe got a free kick in the 4th minute. Enrique Urtsua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Veremundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Sabino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind RIBER PLATE's goalkeeper Serafin Sabino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Haroldo Ekialde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIBER PLATE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sey AFC the free kick. The supporters of Sey AFC booed when RIBER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Ekialde didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ismael Matthew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sey AFC booed when RIBER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Marino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, RIBER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Veremundo came free, but Serafin Sabino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Urtsua in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artemio Edwardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in RIBER PLATE's zone, Ismael Matthew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Sabino came out of the goal and Ismael Matthew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin Quinito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Enrique Urtsua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Artemio Edwardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in RIBER PLATE's zone, Ismael Matthew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Sabino came out of the goal and Ismael Matthew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half RIBER PLATE were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Victor Veremundo made the kick off in the second half. Honorio Valery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Veremundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serafin Sabino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Veremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When Ignacio Endira fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RIBER PLATE's protests and gave Ignacio Endira a yellow card for diving instead. Ismael Matthew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Serafin Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the RIBER PLATE defense, Honorio Valery kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Sabino. The RIBER PLATE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Sabino should have stopped the shot. Benjamin Quinito struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Artemio Edwardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIBER PLATE. In the 72nd minute, Timoteo Shantala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sey AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Honorio Valery hit a great ball. Sey AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Benjamin Quinito scored to the left of an out of position Artemio Edwardo, making the score, 1-2. In the 86th match minute, RIBER PLATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Marino to maneuver through the defense. Serafin Sabino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Matthew in the 95th minute of the match. RIBER PLATE's Serafin Sabino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Matthew in the 99th minute of play. The RIBER PLATE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RIBER PLATE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
