In the 9th minute Prudencio Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Prudencio Santana fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Matadores FC's Juan Bitxintxo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Matadores FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Prudencio Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escoipe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Bitxintxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prudencio Santana in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Bitxintxo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prudencio Santana to make the kick off. Prudencio Santana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Bitxintxo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Celedonio Chano charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celedonio Chano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes Matadores FC got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Chano. When Faustino Lore came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Escoipe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Lore couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute Prudencio Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
