Zeledon Mikelats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Haroldo Ishmael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wachipepe FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Melquiades Ostots in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Saturnino Enetz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haroldo Ishmael was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Wachipepe FC's Alfonso Precioso got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 85th minute, Melquiades Ostots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Wachipepe FC defense, Leonardo Hever kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesar Cordarrel. The Wachipepe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesar Cordarrel should have stopped the shot. Cesar Cordarrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Hever in the 94th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Leonardo Hever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Cordarrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernández's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
