Pablo Barea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Jusepe having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Pericotes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Barea came free, but Felipe Jusepe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pericotes AFC's Jonathan Jaunzuria got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boca Jrs's Alfredo Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Mergildo in the 24th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Pericotes AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Jusepe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Lorien. Felipe Jusepe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Astor Lorien in the 32nd minute. Astor Lorien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Felipe Jusepe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Astor Lorien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Fidel Mergildo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pericotes AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Mergildo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fidel Mergildo to make the kick off. Felipe Jusepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Barea, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Jonathan Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Astor Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Jusepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Fidel Mergildo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfredo Romero. Fidel Mergildo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 68th minute, Boca Jrs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fidel Mergildo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Boca Jrs's Delmar Firmin got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Lorien in the 87th minute of play forced Pericotes AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Jusepe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Jonathan Jaunzuria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pericotes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Jaunzuria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Lorien in the 96th minute of play forced Pericotes AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Jusepe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Boca Jrs supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pericotes AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Pericotes AFC.
