Amadeo Iturri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Casimiro Rolado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustacio Lucero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Patxi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Benicio Estevon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eustacio Lucero. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vashington FC's Clodoveo Maureo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Amadeo Iturri didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when gerli ac's Nestor Eufemio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Casimiro Rolado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. gerli ac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Rolado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eustacio Lucero was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Ulises Patxi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ulises Patxi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casimiro Rolado to strike the kick off in the second half.
