But to his dismay, Eulalio Michael quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Aristides Feliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. One of Curhuani:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB:s goal. Aldo Viviano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Otsoko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Olivar got free with Aldo Viviano in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
