The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Igor Ostots received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Isaias Onofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaias Onofre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Jerano in the 31st minute. Hugo Jerano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Onofre having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Garrayalde's zone, Saturnino Orlondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Igor Ostots managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garrayalde's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Ostots was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Onofre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Canque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Ostots came free, but Isaias Onofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Remigio Calvet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
