The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Emiliano Licerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernesto Cordairo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 21stth minute of the game Eduardo Eriz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Centro's Zeledon Montrell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emiliano Licerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Centro getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Generoso Garaona hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Eriz in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Montrell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute Teo Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Cordairo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Chañar AFC's Emiliano Licerio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeledon Montrell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd match minute, Centro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Garaona to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Centro's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Eriz came free, but Zeledon Montrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eduardo Eriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Eduardo Eriz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zeledon Montrell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 46th minute, Denis Pere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teo Chuan to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Chañar AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Chuan came free, but Ernesto Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higinio Tabor's late challenge caught a Centro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Higinio Tabor helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chañar AFC's Higinio Tabor got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 58th minute, Chañar AFC's Eduardo Eriz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Eriz in the 66th minute of play forced Centro's goalkeeper Zeledon Montrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Montrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Eriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 78 played minutes Centro got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Baristo. The crowd rose to their feet as Chañar AFC's Eduardo Eriz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeledon Montrell. That made the score 0-3 after 80 minutes of play. Emiliano Licerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arsenio Barea struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Zeledon Montrell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chañar AFC. Celso Baleren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Cordairo having to interfere.
