In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind montecarlo AFC's goalkeeper Elpidio Tercero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. cacahuate's Candido Gilen got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes montecarlo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Formerio. cacahuate's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 41st minute of the game, when Candido Gilen after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of montecarlo AFC's goal. Candido Gilen was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmacio Markel in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciro Marino saved cacahuate from getting behind. When Candido Gilen fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored cacahuate's protests and gave Candido Gilen a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes cacahuate got a freekick which was hit by Candido Gilen. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Claude to strike the kick off in the second half.
