Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Felipe Senon got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Figueroa's Cristian Atarrabi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Urtats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Atarrabi in the 10th minute of play forced Union de Santa Fe's goalkeeper Mariano Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nicasio Cefero fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Figueroa's protests and gave Nicasio Cefero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Nicasio Cefero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 15 minutes, Felipe Senon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union de Santa Fe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Senon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Urtats came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Figueroa's Cristian Atarrabi. But to his dismay, Cristian Atarrabi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Felipe Senon was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 28 minutes, Amado Justin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union de Santa Fe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Justin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Union de Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Atarrabi came free, but Mariano Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Pero, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Cristian Atarrabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Urtats having to interfere. When Figueroa's Arturo Pero in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Union de Santa Fe's goalie prevented a goal. Isaac Baudelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Senon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Union de Santa Fe's Mariano Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Atarrabi in the 42nd minute of play. Figueroa's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Felipe Senon 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Isaac Baudelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Senon, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Mariano Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaac Baudelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Senon in the 77th minute of play. Felipe Senon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaac Baudelio having to make a save. 82 minutes into the game, Hilario Suero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Union de Santa Fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figueroa the free kick. After a rather tough play, Union de Santa Fe's Hilario Suero got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Union de Santa Fe's Amado Justin got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Arturo Pero came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Figueroa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Pero couldn't finish the play. Domingos Oro kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Union de Santa Fe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Figueroa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
