FGB Ituzaingo's Bernardo Panfilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Ponce in the 20th minute of play. Martin Enekoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Tancredo having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Enekoitz couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Urbano Ponce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Panfilo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Urbano Ponce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 79 played minutes, FGB Ituzaingo's Serafino Calixto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Salvador Tancredo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FGB Ituzaingo reached it. In the 83rd minute of the match Serafino Calixto shot from a long distance.
