The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Angelo Tximitx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to el leon getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Nereo Ignazio hit a great ball. If Norberto Ur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When el leon's Miguel Ibon in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benedicto Oidor. Apolo Lop's late challenge caught a el leon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apolo Lop helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Alpasinche FC's Apolo Lop got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Norberto Ur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Baltasar Roderigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto Ur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeronimo Geofredo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Benedicto Oidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alpasinche FC. Aurelio Ubarna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Oidor having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Tximitx in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Oidor saved el leon from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A collision led to Alpasinche FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jeronimo Geofredo hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, el leon's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Tximitx came free, but Benedicto Oidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Mauro Iraitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Baltasar Roderigo managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when el leon's Norberto Ur fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 76th match minute, Alpasinche FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Ongile to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Marcelino Tauro in the 78th minute really tested Baltasar Roderigo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Benedicto Oidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Oidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Ubarna in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Miguel Ibon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Miguel Ibon came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the el leon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Ibon couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto Ur got free with Baltasar Roderigo in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alpasinche FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while el leon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
