If Baltasar Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Transito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lastur was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Ermegildo Mikelar's late challenge caught a Alma Fuerte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Mikelar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Hermanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Mikelar to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Hermanos's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Transito came free, but Dante Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Hermanos getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ermegildo Mikelar hit a great ball. Gustavo Transito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lastur having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Transito in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lastur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alma Fuerte's Basilio Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Viviano in the 30th minute of play. Basilio Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Tadzio in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Ermegildo Mikelar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baltasar Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Millan having to interfere. Carlos Viviano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Millan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hermanos's zone, Arnoldo Barto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lastur came out of the goal and Arnoldo Barto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Hermanos's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Transito came free, but Dante Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Viviano was the one to do the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Alma Fuerte's Arnoldo Barto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lastur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustavo Transito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Alma Fuerte booed when Hermanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Hurko didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Hermanos's Dante Lastur got control of the ball when Arnoldo Barto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Humberto Calvet's late challenge caught a Alma Fuerte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Lastur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hermanos's goalkeeper Dante Lastur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lastur was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gustavo Transito showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 84 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hermanos's Ermegildo Mikelar got a free kick in the 91st minute.
