After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Jaime Semeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romero's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Semeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Isauro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Semeno to make the kick off. Teodosio Nuno struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. When Fulgencio Hanot fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romero's protests and gave Fulgencio Hanot a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sp. Canario booed when Romero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Hanot didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jaime Semeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Gora charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amador Gora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 81 minutes into the game, one of Sp. Canario:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Romero a penalty, 83 minutes into the game.
