Piamonte AFC's Angelino Padro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Ospin in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Piamonte AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Havier came free, but Angelino Padro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Padro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Ospin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Victorino Ospin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Padro. Piamonte AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victorino Ospin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 19th match minute, Piamonte AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Blasi to maneuver through the defense. Arnulfo Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victorino Ospin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnulfo Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saturnino Montae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ayacucho's Amador Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Leguizamón in the 31st minute of play. If Fernan Leguizamón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Piamonte AFC's Saturnino Montae got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernan Leguizamón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Errapel having to interfere. With his leg Amador Errapel managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Piamonte AFC's Saturnino Montae fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half Ayacucho were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernan Leguizamón made a kick off. Amador Errapel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Leguizamón, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Ayacucho's Amador Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Montae in the 53rd minute of play. Amador Errapel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Leguizamón in the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Havier in the 64th minute of play forced Piamonte AFC's goalkeeper Angelino Padro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Ospin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelino Padro having to make a save. If Fernan Leguizamón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Piamonte AFC booed when Ayacucho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Hunfredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ayacucho's Benjamin Teodor got a free kick in the 71st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Piamonte AFC's Marcial Luzea tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Saturnino Montae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ayacucho's Fabian Hunfredo got a free kick in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Ayacucho's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Montae came free, but Amador Errapel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Montae in the 90th minute of play forced Ayacucho's goalkeeper Amador Errapel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saturnino Montae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Amador Errapel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ayacucho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
