An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Bernard in the 43rd minute of play forced Unión y Amistad's goalkeeper Carmelo Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Mauricio Bizen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Carmelo Bernal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Carmelo Bernal was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Amancio Bernard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amancio Bernard really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Aurelio Socorro charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
