Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jeronimo Weterio started the match with the kick off. Claudio Marino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Monico hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Elpidio Fortun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Apolo Iaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorio Herensuge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Baumer having to interfere. Jeronimo Weterio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Baumer having to make a save. Jeronimo Weterio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Caseros United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Mariño's Melquiades Chuse got a free kick in the 18th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Gregorio Herensuge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caseros United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Herensuge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Caseros United's Jeronimo Weterio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santos Baumer. Santos Baumer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Caseros United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Hilario Nazario hit a great ball. Claudio Marino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Apolo Iaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Caseros United's Martin Monico got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Elpidio Fortun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Apolo Iaki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Fortun in the 30th minute of play. Melquiades Chuse's late challenge caught a Caseros United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melquiades Chuse helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Mariño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Chuse to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Santos Baumer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeronimo Weterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregorio Herensuge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Santos Baumer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Fortun was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Mariño's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Claudio Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Caseros United's zone, Elpidio Fortun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Iaki came out of the goal and Elpidio Fortun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jesus Palben charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesus Palben the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mariño getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jesus Palben hit a great ball. Gregorio Herensuge spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Mariño's goal. Caseros United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Elpidio Fortun scored to the left of an out of position Apolo Iaki, making the score, 1-2. After 87 played minutes Caseros United got a freekick which was hit by Martin Monico. Elpidio Fortun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Apolo Iaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Mariño's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Herensuge came free, but Santos Baumer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mariño walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
