After 2 played minutes NUEVA CHICAGO got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Balesio. In the 3rd minute, Nereo Lazcano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 8 played minutes NUEVA CHICAGO got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Estebe. Severo Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Abilio kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Nereo Lazcano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chuscha's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Lazcano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Berto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Zacarias Clementi fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NUEVA CHICAGO's protests and gave Zacarias Clementi a yellow card for diving instead. When Nereo Lazcano came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Chuscha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Lazcano couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Chuscha's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Barbosa came free, but Ubaldo Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Severo Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chuscha's Ubaldo Raulo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Nereo Lazcano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chuscha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nereo Lazcano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severo Barbosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fermin Baristo's late challenge caught a Chuscha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fermin Baristo helped the player get up and apologised. Alfonso Tab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Berto having to interfere. Carmelo Austin shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Angelino Balesio hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. If Alfonso Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NUEVA CHICAGO's Ovidio Berto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save NUEVA CHICAGO from getting a goal against them. Ubaldo Raulo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Dayam in the 91st minute of play. Benito Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ovidio Berto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
