Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Severo Barbosa started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute of the match Esteban Gar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermengildo Isadore skillfully saved the ball. Edgard Dayam struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Hermengildo Isadore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NUEVA CHICAGO. Severo Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, NUEVA CHICAGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Raul Errolan got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 33 minutes San Lorenzo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Esteban Gar who took care of the corner kick. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Hermengildo Isadore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hermengildo Isadore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Dayam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Severo Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Filiberto Meder made the kick off in the second half. Angelino Balesio hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Filiberto Meder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Angelino Balesio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Quin. With a little luck, San Lorenzo's Hermengildo Isadore got control of the ball when Edgard Dayam tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Dayam got free with Hermengildo Isadore in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgard Dayam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Isadore having to interfere. Edgard Dayam's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Hermengildo Isadore skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 80 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Barbosa came free, but Hermengildo Isadore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Filiberto Meder came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the San Lorenzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Meder couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Hermengildo Isadore successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 95 minutes into the match, Filiberto Meder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidio Berto. NUEVA CHICAGO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiberto Meder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. San Lorenzo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
