The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicanor Astigar in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Efrain Munio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dionisio Elizardo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Efrain Munio. Gessler FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Constantino Bastiaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Feliciano Arano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Criston in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliciano Arano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feliciano Arano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Bastiaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Criston scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Feliciano Arano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Cesar Martxot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TOMAS F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gessler FC the free kick. Cipriano Gaitano's late challenge caught a TOMAS F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Gaitano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Gessler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Gaitano to maneuver through the defense. After 39 minutes of play, TOMAS F.C.'s Romeo Lauro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Efrain Munio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicanor Astigar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Munio having to interfere. Romeo Lauro might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efrain Munio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeo Lauro ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Constantino Bastiaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Constantino Bastiaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliciano Arano was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Efrain Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Astigar in the 64th minute of play. Feliciano Arano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gessler FC. Efrain Munio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Astigar, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Gessler FC's Efrain Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Lauro in the 84th minute of play. Efrain Munio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Astigar in the 85th minute of the match. If Gualterio Veto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
