Marco Maju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Bilintx in the 3rd minute of play. In the 13th minute, Conrado Rey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severo Ermengol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Haase's Benicio Guifre got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodolfo Jerold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Maju having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severo Nesto during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Maju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Bilintx in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Bilintx in the 32nd minute of play forced Haase's goalkeeper Marco Maju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Haase's Severo Ermengol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eustacio Rafel. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. When Severo Ermengol came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Haase fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Ermengol couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Patricio Bilintx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Maju. Haase's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Bilintx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Haase players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Athletic Club Bilbao were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severo Ermengol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eustacio Rafel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Ermengol in the 59th minute of the match. Severo Ermengol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Benicio Guifre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustacio Rafel was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Eustacio Rafel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severo Ermengol's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Athletic Club Bilbao were furious when Wilfredo Jago was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Haase a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teodoro Salomon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Athletic Club Bilbao's Eustacio Rafel. 2-2. Eustacio Rafel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Ermengol in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Guifre in the 94th minute of play forced Athletic Club Bilbao's goalkeeper Eustacio Rafel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haase's Benicio Guifre got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Benicio Guifre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haase were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Athletic Club Bilbao to leave the ground with a draw.
