In the 3rd minute, Melchor Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pastor Azevedo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Israel Nisio in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's Donato Cordeiro. After some careless play in the CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO defense, Niceto Caitano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodoro Cugat. The CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodoro Cugat should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Israel Nisio in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's Evelio Magdaleno. Evelio Magdaleno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Idacio having to interfere. Israel Nisio hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Niceto Caitano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's Teodoro Cugat. Teodoro Cugat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Evelio Magdaleno fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's protests and gave Evelio Magdaleno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Magdaleno to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 42 minutes, Donato Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Caitano made a kick off. Niceto Caitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Evelio Magdaleno came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Magdaleno couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Evelio Magdaleno managed to get in a good position for a shot. CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Magdaleno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Idacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raimundo Idacio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Cordeiro went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute, Roberto Kaxen made a precise shot to the right of Teodoro Cugat. CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Teodoro Cugat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Caitano in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Niceto Caitano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teodoro Cugat. That made the score 1-4 in the 83 minute of play. The audience held their breath when Arturo Maurino in the 88th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Raimundo Idacio's left hand side. CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO's Teodoro Cugat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO from getting a goal against them. Teodoro Cugat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Caitano in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th minute Niceto Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Cugat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Barraquero AFC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant CHESPIPERNAMBUCANO side.
