Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Barraquero AFC's Niceto Caitano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rosendo Chap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Caitano in the 3rd minute of play. Barraquero AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rodrigo Eleder in the 5th minute. The corner led to Barraquero AFC's Israel Nisio getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Javier Berasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Chap having to interfere. Roberto Kaxen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rosendo Chap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Haimar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Barraquero AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of JCLB:s goal. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for JCLB. Saverio Rozarius stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Raimundo Idacio. 0-1. After 18 played minutes JCLB got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Virila. A collision led to Barraquero AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Roberto Kaxen hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, one of Barraquero AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barraquero AFC. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for JCLB. Saverio Rozarius stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Raimundo Idacio. 0-2. The supporters of JCLB booed when Barraquero AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Kaxen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barraquero AFC's Raimundo Idacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Tome in the 32nd minute of play. Rigoberto Cordairo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aquilino Tome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Idacio having to interfere. Rigoberto Cordairo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rigoberto Cordairo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. JCLB's Rigoberto Cordairo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Rigoberto Cordairo managed to get in a good position for a shot. JCLB's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Cordairo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Idacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rigoberto Cordairo made a kick off. JCLB's Aquilino Tome got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aquilino Tome's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Raimundo Idacio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rigoberto Cordairo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Idacio having to interfere. Aquilino Tome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Raimundo Idacio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigoberto Cordairo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Idacio saved Barraquero AFC from getting behind. After 70 minutes, Israel Nisio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barraquero AFC and the JCLB players grew even worse after the yellow card. Israel Nisio hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Aquilino Tome sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Cordairo in the 77th minute of play forced Barraquero AFC's goalkeeper Raimundo Idacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Cordairo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Rigoberto Cordairo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, JCLB's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Kaxen came free, but Rosendo Chap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niceto Caitano kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. JCLB's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
