After 10 minutes, Rosendo Quirze made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Crotto's Feliberto Eufemio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfonso Platon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfonso Platon was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mauro Ihintza's late challenge caught a Crotto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Ihintza helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gondra FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mauro Ihintza hit a great ball. When Alfonso Platon came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Crotto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Platon couldn't finish the play. Feliberto Eufemio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Quirze in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Platon to strike the kick off in the second half. The Gondra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anastasio Lluc should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Crotto's goalkeeper Feliberto Eufemio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Crotto's Alfonso Platon got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 minutes, Lino Hustaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crotto and the Gondra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Rosendo Quirze made a precise shot to the right of Feliberto Eufemio. Crotto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Jacinto Aznar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Lluc having to interfere. Gondra FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Crotto's much stronger midfield.
