In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wilson F.C.'s goalkeeper Benigno Barrionuevo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilson F.C.'s Benigno Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Florinio in the 16th minute of play. Benigno Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Munio in the 19th minute of the match. Ruperto Munio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Barrionuevo having to interfere. Wilson F.C.'s Benigno Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Munio in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Wilson F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Munio came free, but Benigno Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efrain Marino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Elodio in the 38th minute of play. Ruperto Munio struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Benigno Barrionuevo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arerunguá AFC. Nicasio Florinio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingo Elodio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilson F.C.'s Benigno Barrionuevo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Wilson F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Ruperto Munio came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Arerunguá AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Munio couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute Ruperto Munio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicasio Florinio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Benigno Barrionuevo when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
