Constantino Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Matthew blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matias Lastur having to make a save. Angel Santiago was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 14th minute. Pichincha AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 16th minute, Los gordos de nix's Nicolas Cordeal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicolas Cordeal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los gordos de nix protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicolas Cordeal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Nicolas Cordeal kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Angel Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Cordarrell having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ruben Primo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los gordos de nix's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Primo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Lastur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantino Rio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Matias Lastur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantino Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los gordos de nix's Honorio Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constantino Rio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Matias Lastur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bruno Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimiro Chumo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Cordarrell having to interfere. Los gordos de nix's Celedonio Cordarrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Santiago in the 44th minute of play. When Casimiro Chumo came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Pichincha AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Chumo couldn't finish the play. Los gordos de nix's Celedonio Cordarrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Santiago in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantino Rio was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Honorio Vidal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los gordos de nix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pichincha AFC the free kick. A collision led to Los gordos de nix getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Honorio Vidal hit a great ball. After 56 minutes of play, Pichincha AFC's Casimiro Chumo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celedonio Cordarrell was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 65 minutes, Angel Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pichincha AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Cordarrell having to interfere. Casimiro Chumo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Cordarrell having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Casimiro Chumo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Ruben Primo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantino Rio got free with Matias Lastur in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Constantino Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Ruben Primo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Many of Los gordos de nix's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Los gordos de nix may have spent more time on the ball, but Pichincha AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
